  Navajo Saddle Club

Horse Show delayed by Bees.

At this show, the Bees took center stage, as the show had to be postponed until a local Bee Keeper (Ken Theis) from Kouts, In.could be called out.

The Bees suddenly swarmed around an arena fence post.

Bee Keeper Ken , believed they just followed the Queen Bee.

The show resumed after he collected many/most of the bees,  he would return later to collect the rest.

"Here Is a Little Information About Navajo Saddle Club"

Navajo Saddle Club was founded in 1948 by a group of local horse enthusiasts, to be able to have a place to ride and compete with their horses. Click on photos to see our new facilities.

Since then, monthly horse shows are held from May through October drawing competitors from as far away as Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio to compete for cash and prizes.

Our horse shows are open to the public. We offer Western and English Pleasure, classes along with barrel racing and pole bending contest classes. Anyone who owns a horse of any breed can come and compete, however, you may want to just come and watch a show or two if your not familiar with competition. Bring your lawn chairs, for an afternoon of fun and entertainment. Food and beverages available throughout the day. No Alcoholic beverages please.

We hold monthly meetings and several riding clinics and seminars on nutrition and basic horse care and responsibilities throughout the year.

Family entertainment and atmosphere is our main goal and concern, as some Families have children that also ride and compete. Some Families have 3 generations that get involved.

You do not need to own a horse to be a member of Navajo Saddle Club. If you enjoy the outdoors and horses and would like to learn more about them, feel free to contact one of the officers about membership.

We are Looking forward to seeing you there!
